Open source Java inspiration

Shout out to Ray Tayek, chair of the OCJUG (and master Go player) for pointing out this wonderful list of obscure projects, embedded in a wonderful blog. The blog has a bit too much advertising for my taste, but I'm subscribing to it anyway. Almost every piece of software on that list interests me for one reason or another, and that's a Good Thing.

(Ray also posted a link to Joel Spasky's Yale speech, which was an amusing read. I never thought of in-house software as being that bad but now that he mentions it, I guess it really is.)
